Our meeting facilities were purpose built in 2020 with the highest quality acoustic and soundproofing materials to ensure absolute privacy and confidentiality in discussions. All dividing walls between meeting rooms are built with 13mm Soundcheck plasterboard with R.25 insulation inside the wall cavity. In the ceiling void, acoustic ceiling baffle was used to separate the noise transmission from one room to another. All joints in the acoustic baffle are taped with acoustic tape to reduce noise transfer.

10.38 clear laminate plate glass was used on all doors and glass fronts to reduce noise transfer and acoustic door seals used for the glass doors in the Conference room.

In recognition of the historic owners of the land on which our facilities sit, we have titled the rooms in the meeting facilities after the Awabakal names for some of Newcastle’s geographic icons. We have also commissioned paintings by a local artist, Jo Saywell to celebrate our connection with the City of Newcastle.
